GATHERING GROUPS

Gathering Groups, also known as small groups, are held throughout the week for all age groups. These groups let you connect with other Christians in a way that can both challenge you and lift you up. Some groups are temporarily on hold during the pandemic so the list below is what is currently active. We’re always looking to add new groups, so let us know if you have an interest, hobby, or talent that a group could form around!

Ladies Night Out

Every month the ladies of the church get together for a night out at a great local restaurant to try new food and have a great time of fellowship. Friends are often invited to make for a fun night out. After all, the church is more than just Sunday mornings!

Iron Men

Not to be outdone by the ladies, the men also get together for a dinner each month. No agenda other than hanging out and having a good meal. Helping each other grow in our faith by sharing our lives. Email Pastor E to get on the list!

Activity Groups

There are walking and biking groups at The Gathering, with other groups in the works for other activities. Contact the church for details on how to get active!

Science Fiction Enthusiasts (a.k.a. Gathering Geeks)

Are you a sci-fi fan? So are we! A group at The Gathering gets together to watch new and classic science fiction movies and TV shows. Contact Scott Will for details.

Food is Love Ministry

If you like to cook and help people in need, get involved with the Food is Love ministry! Food is Love prepares multi-course meals in The Gathering’s kitchen and distributes them to needy people in our community. They also prepare special meals for church activities and collect food donations to give out. Get with Janice about how you can start cooking and helping!

Middle & High School Youth Group

Middle and high school kids meet every Sunday from 5:30-6:30 for a night of fun, pizza and learning what it means to follow Jesus. It’s more than just a Bible lesson, but a challenge to put faith into action with service projects and charity events.

Men’s Online Bible Study

Dive deeper into the word each Thursday morning at 7:00 with the men’s online Bible Study. The study is conducted via the Zoom app and includes time in prayer, discussion, and scripture. Enjoy a cup of coffee while you dive deep into the Bible! Contact Pastor E to participate.

Women’s Bible Study

The women’s Bible study has regular studies scheduled throughout the year for a guided study of the scriptures. Utilizing study guides and video commentary, the group will help you dig deeper into God’s word.

Group Bible Studies & Discussion Groups

Various Bible studies and topical discussion groups are held throughout the year, meeting both at the church and in members' homes.

The Gathering Event Team

If you love organizing events, The Gathering Event Team is waiting for you to plug in. Food Truck nights, neighborhood events, charity projects, and special services are some activities the team works on. If you’re interested in making a difference in our community through your talents in organizing, marketing, graphic design, or just plain old love of people, get involved with G.E.T.!
